My work goes beyond simply taking pictures; it's about fostering a sense of empowerment, especially among our youth. In a world where societal pressures and expectations can sometimes weigh heavily, it's crucial for girls to feel supported, uplifted, and empowered by one another. Let your kids dream up an live their own fairytale alongside their peers. These magical composite sessions allow your kids to see themselves as the strong characters they love. What I love about fine art images is the chance to take the beauty and reality of a shot and surround it with the whimsy and soul of imagination to create something that may as well be made of dreams.
Through my photography sessions, I aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where your kids can express themselves freely, embrace their uniqueness, and celebrate their individuality. Whether it's through a shared laugh, a supportive gesture, or a genuine connection, I encourage everyone to lift each other up, to celebrate each other's successes, and to stand together as allies and friends.
By capturing these moments of empowerment and camaraderie, I hope to inspire not only your kids themselves but also you, dear parents, to continue nurturing and supporting the incredible journey of your child or teen. Creating a group session allows for social empowerment, encouragement, and kind friendships.
Simply fill out the form below. You will receive some more info from me via email that describes the process in more detail, but here is a little glimpse of what to expect once your session is booked.
First you will reserve a place in my calendar to chat via zoom about the type of event you are looking to create and what you hope to get out of our session. This is also the time where we can figure out dress rentals, locations, props, and all the details.

2. What to expect at the event
Next we will have your group photo session. If you choose to get makeup and hair done, GREAT(it isn't required but definitely helps to have your hair fancy)! I have a list of some great local business owners who provide awesome services, you can schedule that prior to our session time. Before your session we will talk about event details, gown rentals, important info to put on party invitations, and timing questions. This leaves for a lot less confusion.
Than you simply show up(or open your door 30 minutes before your party so i can set up at your home), get ready for whatever attire we previously discussed, and we take some child-led/ laid back posed shots. From ninja moves to Encanto dance parties, whatever will help you or your child relax can be incorporated into our time together.
After your session you will get a group link to view your proofs. These are not the final images, and will just be a way for us to look through which poses you love, and which photos you want to use for you final products.
You will get an online gallery where you can mark your favorites, or if you would rather go through them together we can meet up in person or over zoom to pick them too.
3. Proofs
Once you picked the proofs that you love, we will sit down and chat about what you want in your home. I can either come to your home and see your space in real life, or we can chat via zoom.
You will be able to see a variety of product layouts and choose exactly the right piece for your home. Once we decide what products to order for your home I start creating your custom one of a kind heirloom art!
Leave the measuring and designing to me, and take things OFF your to-do list.
4. Post session ordering!
Than once your custom pieces are created, I get them sent to me. This is so I can look over every detail and make sure your piece is EXACTLY how it should be.
Once I approve your product you get them hand delivered right to your doorstep. Each custom product you order includes a digital social sharing file for you to also have.

Each Bring a friend session includes hair & makeup with the option to add on 1 or 2 dress/costume rentals. Every group session includes custom backdrops, studio fees, and personalized fine art consultation AND they also come with a $250 print credit, so the art we create can be displayed proudly in your home. These unique group sessions are customized to your style, couture dress rental needs, and focus on a final product you will LOVE.

Tarah is the pinnacle of photojournalist AND lifestyle photography! She has this eye for light and color that create true art. We moved away from KC two years ago and we go back each year because no one else can get photos that I want hung all over my home and on my Christmas card. Her edits are always so tasteful and lovely. If you’re looking for stuffy, posed photos, Wildwood is not for you. But if you want shots of your family being authentically themselves, having fun, laughing and loving life, there is no one better.
