Traveling to Overland Park South | 2024 Visitors Guide

Are you traveling to Overland Park South to do a photo shoot? Stilwell, where Wildwood Photography is located, is a smaller community. While it may not have a wide range of hotels, you can explore nearby options in Overland Park or other neighboring cities.  South Overland Park is the closes large area to Stilwell, KS and is just a quick 10 minute drive.  It has a variety of attractions and amenities for visitors. Here’s a guide covering places to stay, family-friendly attractions, and recommended restaurants:

Places to Stay:

• Element Overland Park: Located near Prairiefire Center, this hotel offers luxury amenities for a comfortable stay.  People boast about the great customer service & delicious breakfast food. 
• Holiday Inn Express & Suites Overland Park: Another option in Overland Park with a variety of room options and modern facilities.  Plus there is an indoor pool for some fun swimming year round.
• Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center: A comfortable hotel with modern amenities, convenient for leisure travelers.  If you are coming in the summer, their outdoor pool will be a hit for the whole family!
• Hyatt Place Kansas City/Overland Park/Convention Center: Offers spacious rooms and is located near popular attractions.
• Drury Inn & Suites Kansas City Overland Park: Known for its friendly service and complimentary evening snacks.  They are also pet friendly!
• Candlewood Suites Overland Park:  This welcoming hotel offers spacious suites with fully-equipped kitchens, making it ideal for guests looking for a home-like atmosphere. Amenities include a fitness center, free Wi-Fi, and an outdoor gazebo with grilling facilities.
• Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Olathe: Located in nearby Olathe, this hotel offers spacious suites and amenities for a comfortable stay.  It is a bit of a drive to Stilwell, but this new hotel is clean, bright, and has a lot of great restaurants nearby.

• Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens: A beautiful place to explore nature with walking trails and themed gardens.  During the holidays they have a nice outdoor lights display, and don’t forget to check out their model trains!
